Dear Riders and Friends! This is ALMOST THE L A S T Riders’ Info before the Big start next Wednesday.
In this Riders' Info we will share with you the final details that you should pay attention to - Some are related to logistics and some will directly influence your success in this challenge.
The riders' and team managers' briefing for stage 1 will be held at the registration & information hall in the race village at Tuesday 10/10 18:30.
Riders who only arrive on Wednesday, can watch it live on Facebook
The challenge is planned to be tough but possible. Not everyone will be a Finisher.
We are going to be strict with the time limits and the criteria for earning the Finisher Jersey and Medal.

Important! Please Complete the registration process in the Race Village:

The race village is located at Nahsholim Hotel

On arrival at the race village all the riders must complete the registration process.
The registration in the race village will be open on Tuesday 10/10 between 15:00-18:00 for anyone who prefers to complete his registration on the evening before the race. (Not only for riders who will be staying in the race village).
On Wednesday morning, the registration will open between 06:30-09:00.

Parking

Please park only in the designated area. You will be guided where to park.
Do not park anywhere else, or you will block the route!!

Pre-race package

Check-In for those who purchased the pre-race package is
between 14:00-21:00.
Dinner for riders who purchased the pre-race package will be in Rosmarin restaurant in Nahsholim hotel between 19:00-20:30, also for riders who purchased pre-race package in Dor village hotel.
Breakfast for pre race package in the same place at 07:00-09:00 for the pre race package.

Registration Hours on Tuesday 10/10

Registration will be open between 15:00-18:00 only.

Stage 1 - Time trial:
On Wednesday morning registration will be open from 06:30 - 09:00.
No registration will be available after 09:00.
You must come, sign on a disclaimer and get your riders' race kit.
Signing-in at the registration is compulsory. (Also, for those who collected their rider's kit in the early collection)
UCI riders must present their UCI card with a photo.
Check-In for the hotel rooms on Wednesday will be from 12:30.

Stage 1 - TT starts:

At the beginning of next week, the start times will be published on our website.
Each team should arrive at the start area 10 min. prior to the start time.
The starts will take place from 09:00 onwards, every 30 Sec.
If a team fails to be on time, they will be allowed to start at a later time based on the commissaire's judgment. Their race time however, will be counted from the time originally designated to them.
The time of stage 1 counts towards the overall time of the race and will establish your placement for the 2nd stage.

Rider hand band and tags:

You must wear the rider's hand band (which will be given to you at registration) and the rider's tag from the first day until the end of the race.
Only the hand band together with the rider's tag will allow you to use the race facilities and meals.

Stage graph:

For your convenience, every stage has a sticker that you can stick on the TopTube close to the Stem with distances to the feed zones and details of the climbing profile.

(At the end of every stage you can use the sticker to get free beer at Hagibor’s beer area).
2^nd , 3rd and 4th Stage stickers will be given to you in the TREK tent in the expo in the race village until 18:00.
No Graph stickers will be available at the morning of the stage.

Storage:

Riders who would like to spend the afternoon in the race village (After the stage) can bring to the race village a small bag that will be kept in a safe place, with towel and cloths to change and bathing suit if you would like, that way you will be able to enjoy everything we prepared for you.

For your convenience, in the race village will be Ice baths, cool chill-out zone where lunch will be served, Hagibor beer, shakes, coffee and more surprises.

Meals During the event

Breakfast:

Breakfast will be at Rosmarin restaurant in Nahsholim hotel only for riders who stay in Nahsholim hotel and Dor village hotel.

Lunch:
At the end of each stage you can enjoy a Lunch buffet and sit with your meal in the chill out zone and watch the relive on the big screen.
For lunch you need to show the no. on your hand band.

Dinner:
Dinner is for all riders from 18:30 at Nahsholim race village, you must arrive to dinner with your rider's tag.
The podium ceremony and briefing for the next day will be during dinner, briefing is obligatory.

Family happening on Saturday 14/10

During the first days of the race, the race village is planned in such a way to give you and your families the most pleasant experience.
In addition, we have added a printed spectator guide to the rider’s bag. Your families can follow you and enjoy the experience with you.

Foodtruck, live coffee house, chill out zones and a big open area for the young supporters who still have some energy left after all their cheering.

From 10:00 on Saturday everybody is invited to the race village to enjoy the Finishers' celebration, all the Finishers will get their Finisher' medal and Jersey.
Closing ceremony will be at the race village at 11:30.

Rider Race Bag

For your convenience, between October 1 to 7, you can collect the rider's race bag at one of the 7 locations of TREK Israel shops throughout the country, according to the location you selected at the time of registration.
The rider's race bag is personal, by name and ID only; You cannot exchange race bags between riders.
A rider can only collect the race bag to himself and to his race partner. No proxy pickup is allowed.
Rider's race bags that will not be collected until October 7th or were chosen to be picked in the race village will wait for you at the race village at the registration desk during registration times.

FEED ZONES

Three feed zones will wait for you every day along the route and another one at the finish line in the race village.
The distance between each Feed Zone in KM will be shown on the stages graph stickers which you will get in your rider's bag. It is recommended to fix the sticker on the top tube close to the stem.

Technical support during Bara Epic Israel

For the 10th year Shimano Israel is the official technical partner of Bara Epic Israel.
Shimano will provide technical and mechanical support throughout the event.
Technical support will be available during the stage and in the race village.

During the stage :
Every day during the stages, there will be 3 feed zones where technical support will be available.
In the main Feed zone (Usually the 2nd one) mechanical support will be available by an expert SHIMANO mechanic and fully equipped with parts (shifters, derailleur etc.).

Two secondary Feed zones for self-use and repair parts (tires, tubes),
without a technical support from SHIMANO mechanics.

In the race village:
In the race village, a fully equipped technical station will be available.
You can get assistance between stages to prepare your bikes for the next day’s challenge.
At all technical stations, basic parts will be free of charge.
More expensive parts from a certain price level will be charged for.
Please bring your bike directly after the stage ( After they have been cleaned).

Technical Assistance for UCI riders:
Special and further instructions will be sent separately for UCI riders about assistance and UCI boxes.

In the race village, Our partners from CTC, the importers of Trek Bicycles in Israel, will help and backup Shimano team to provide service to anyone in need of SRAM parts.

Tubeless technical support – you can renew your tubeless slime if needed - They will already be open at 10/10 between 16:00-23:00.
Washing area – with Joe's no Flats lubricants and washing products - Only open after 1st stage.
Expo tent – complete your gear and more surprises.

This year they will also be your angels in stage 3 with SOS sealant service that we hope you won't need and a lot of support.

Joe's No flats team will be happy to service and pleasure you with all their goods.

Continenetal

If that's not enough, Continental also spoil you with their great service in the race village: After checking in the Shimano service tent, if the tire indeed requires replacement, the rider will receive a voucher. In order to receive the tire, you should visit the Continental tent for tire collection; tire replacement will be carried out at Joe’s No Flats service tent.
On Saturday, tire distribution will not take place

All the experience - Half the distance.
A group of 4 riders composed of 2 teams of 2 riders.
Each team rides half the distance.
The group completes the full prologue and 3 stages of the event.

Launch Event - Last call for registration

Our traditional, fun, free of charge, launch evet will be 2 days before the registration opens, at the coming friday.
The event is powered by KKL-JNF and together with Mekorot and launches Hamovil single track.
The event is open for riders age 18 and up who is able to ride technically KKL - JNF single tracks with medium difficulty.
Registration is obligated in the following email until the 28/3/23 - contact@epicisrael.org.il
We will be happy to celebrate with you with a fun ride, Hagibor beer and Humus

Registration process:
Registraion opens 2/4/23 12:00pm GMT+2
You can register either from your desktop or form your cell phone (From experience - Desktop is more friendly.)
The Login will be via SMS you will receive through your cell phone.
Please notice it can take up to 30 sec until you receive the SMS.

Registration steps:

Choose your registration package at the shop
Login with the code you will receive to your cell phone
Insert both riders' details, the phone no. of the second riders will assist him later to login to your personal area
If you are registration to the quartet relay the first couple will get a code after they finish all their registration. the code must be transferred to the next couple which should be put in in the beginning of their registration. After the 2nd couple completes the registration and payment the quartet is registered and united in the system.
Choose extra products if you wish so.
Payment – you can divide the payment to 2 credit cards (each rider can pay his own share), sorry no dinners are excepted.
After payment is approved you will move to confirmation screen.
A conformation email and invoice for both riders will be sent via email to the rider first logged in with his cellular phone.

The race village is the place where everything happens.
The race is full board, from the moment of your arrival until you receive the medal and finisher's jersey at the end of the last, concluding day.
This year the race village venue (2023) is the grounds of Nachsholim hotel which is located in Hof Carmel regional council, on the coastline 70 KM north to Tel Aviv.
From our last years' experience - riders who wish to stay in the race village accommodation should register when the registration opens.

The registration for the 10th edition of Bara Epic Israel, 2nd time in Hof Carmel regional council, opens at 4/2/23 12:00 pm GMT+2.
We are happy and proud to achieve our goals to improve every year, and be worthy to you, to your trust in us and for making Bara Epic Israel a top-level event.
As last year the race village venue will be in the grounds of Nahsholim hotel.
We are obligated for the level of event.

Hof HaCarmel Region - the area which the event takes place is located on the Mediterranean shore, between Caesarea and Haifa (one hour north of Tel Aviv) the race village will stay on the ground of the amazing Nachsolim hotel.
Hof HaCarmel is an area where the mountains kiss the Mediterranean Sea and creates the perfect terrain for mountain bike stage race.

Full event - team race

The main event of the race is 4 days tour (prologue and 3 stages) with teams of 2 riders - find a partner, get ready for registration, all the information on the following link: https://www.epicisrael.org.il/?section=422

Quartet relay
THE WHOLE EXPERIENCE - HALF THE DISTANCE
Two teams (of 2 riders) complete a quartet, each team does half the distance and change with the other team to complete the full distance of each day.

Launch event
Our traditional, fun, free of charge, launch evet will be 2 days before the registration opens, at the 31/3.
The event is powered by KKL-JNF and launches a new area in the forest.

1. 30.5 - A fascinating Lecture in Danel Motors Kfar Saba (You will hear more about them in the near future, the home of the cyclists) Dr. Shub will Lecture about blood tests for cyclists.
